A hedge is a bush of plants. it can be a row of similarly growing bushes. 

The common name of this butterfly points to its usual behaviour. it is a common hedge blue.  it is one of the 'blues' that are very common around the bushes in the Indian peninsula and some other regions.


According to Wikipedia, The larva has been recorded on Glochidion fortuneiRhododendron spp.Distylium racemosum, etc.
